What to Expect When You Bring Your Mac to Crywolf

Our Proven 6-Step Mac Repair Process – Trusted Apple Service in San Diego

Step 1: Check-In

First, we’ll have you describe and/or demonstrate your issue(s). Next, we will gather your contact information and check your I.D. For most repairs we will require a user name & login password. This usually takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Our repairs are performed in the order they are received, so there is likely to be a queue before your Mac hits the bench. We will inform you of any queue at check-in. Rush options are available

Step 2: Time to Bench

Repairs are performed in the order they’re received, so your Mac may enter a short queue before it reaches a technician’s bench.

We’ll let you know the estimated wait time during check-in. Rush service options are available if you need a faster turnaround.

Step 3: Check-In

If you decide to proceed, we’ll officially check in your Mac and collect payment.

We’ll also go over your data backup options to help protect your files before any diagnosis or repair begins.

Step 4: Turn Off 'Find My Mac'

If your repair requires Apple parts or diagnostic testing, Find My Mac must be disabled.

No worries if you’re unsure how — we’ll walk you through the steps if needed.

Step 5: Diagnosis & Repair

Once your Mac reaches the bench, an Apple-certified technician will perform a full diagnostic. We’ll contact you with findings and explain your options before any additional work begins.

You decide whether to proceed. If you approve the repair, we’ll notify you as soon as it’s complete — and we’ll reach out during the process if any questions or additional costs come up.

Step 6: Completion & Pickup

We’ll notify you as soon as your Mac is ready. At pickup, please bring a valid photo ID — required for security and verification.

We’ll verify your ID, finalize the paperwork, and provide a detailed invoice outlining the services performed. If there’s a remaining balance, it’s due at this time.

Before you leave, we’re happy to power on your Mac so you can confirm everything is working properly and your original issue is resolved.
