From Dorm Room Techs to Trusted Mac Experts
Crywolf is owned and operated by Kevin and Nancy Langdon. We began offering Mac support and in-home tech visits while students at UC San Diego in the mid-1990s.
We quickly earned a loyal following among UCSD faculty and staff—particularly in the Music, English, and Biology departments—thanks to our clear communication, technical expertise, and genuinely helpful approach.

From Music Gigs to Mac Gigs
Next came the Crywolf band. With members in both San Diego and Palo Alto, we spent several years playing gigs across California. The long-distance collaboration was fun but challenging.
Eventually, we left our day jobs, relocated everyone to San Diego, and launched a business that could support the band. The company took off—and, ironically, the band didn’t survive its success. So it goes.

In 2000, Apple recruited us to begin selling and servicing Macs professionally. Within three years, we were selected to serve on the AppleCare Service Advisory Board. Kevin remained on the board for over 12 years, one of only eight Apple Authorized Service Providers in North America to hold this distinction.
In 2004, we also co-founded the Apple Specialist Marketing Corporation (ASMC), which became the largest Apple Channel organization in the world. Kevin served as Executive Director from 2003 to 2017.

Crywolf was one of just six companies selected to pilot the Apple Authorized Training Center program in 2002. We were the first to offer Apple certification classes, training hundreds of technicians—many of whom still fix Macs today.
Our client list included respected names like Harvard University, T-Mobile, and the Geek Squad.

Since 2019, we’ve operated out of our fourth and current location on Convoy Court in San Diego. Every employee at Crywolf has been with us for over a decade, and every Apple Certified Mac Technician on our team has more than 20 years of hands-on experience with Apple products.

Outside of Crywolf, we (Nancy and Kevin) teach and perform musical improv comedy. You can often find us performing locally here in San Diego or at improv festivals around the country.
Here we are after a 2024 performance with Laura Hall from Whose Line Is It, Anyway?
